Point Pinole to Point Richmond

Start/End: Start car was at the Giant Hwy staging area at Point Pinole. Finish car was in Point Richmond street parking.

Notes: After a couple of weeks break from Bay Trail running to adopt a puppy, back on the trail this morning. Today we finally completed the full loop of San Pablo Bay and we're now in fairly well known territory north and south of our home in Oakland. The north part of the trail, neighboring Point Pinole, is lovely restored wetland and five star Bay Trail infrastructure.

The south part of the trail is separated from the busy Richmond Parkway, at least, but is in pretty rough shape. Pavement is unmaintained and trash abounds. It also passes through a significant homeless community (Hensley and Castro). Richmond, you can declare half your streets Bay Trail I guess, but you should probably make some minimal effort to maintain them.
