Brazos Drawbridge

Start/End: Car was on Green Island Road, near the drawbridge.

Notes: First part of a mid-afternoon walk, where we continued on from the morning run here from Napa. Walked out to the drawbridge, which was pretty cool, and then took the trail out alongside the airport. The proposed trail south from Napa would eventually come in from this direction so it was fun to check it out. Apparently it's quite the controversy having this trail here at all. Napa Airport imagines planes routinely skidding off the runways and into unsuspecting bird watchers. Several planes took off while we were there. We were unharmed.

Felt like not so many people make it to this corner of the bay. Bird life was great here too. Lots of duck species we'd not seen elsewhere on the trail.
